Forty Three Community Cafe and Drop in
A place to meet up, make new friends and enjoy home prepared food.
A Community Hub at Future Living Hertford's Vale House, which offers a Café and Drop In centre on Wednesday mornings from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00pm for volunteer team, clients and for the local community. There is lots of information on our services such as counselling and recovery programmes, but also information about othr services in the area, please ask.
It supports people getting back into life who are in recovery from domestic abuse or addiction.
This is a proven recipe for success – providing a supported outlet for people to practice and hone new found skills, interact with the public and re build confidence.
The benefits of the Drop In and our clients and volunteers staffing it are self evident; it will bind the community together over a wide range of ages, disabilities and needs, and market the work of the project to future clients in a safe space. It will also provide an income stream for the charity to continue their work and ensure it’s sustainability into the future. The whole community is getting involved, and it is anticipated that the Drop In project will ultimately be run by a local management committee drawn from our community.
Future Living Hertford has worked hard to embrace the community in which it exists in Hertford. A project to provide a garden area for local people to access and enjoy the cafe, has been constructed and is maintained by volunteers from the charity.
