Fundraising plays a vital role in helping Future Living Hertford deliver trauma-informed support to adults, children and young people affected by domestic abuse.

As a small, local charity, every donation really does make a difference – helping us reach more survivors and provide the support they need to recover, rebuild and move forward.

There are lots of ways you can support us, from taking part in our fun fundraising events throughout the year, to making a regular or one-off donation, or even setting yourself a personal challenge. Every pound raised helps change lives in our community.

Whatever your challenge, here are some simple hints and tips to help you fundraise for Future Living Hertford and make the biggest possible impact:

  • Set up your fundraising page - this is an easy way for friends and family to donate and to share your story
  • Tell your story - share why you’re supporting Future Living Hertford and what inspired your challenge. Personal messages really motivate people to give.
  • Use social media – post regular updates, photos and progress to keep friends, family and colleagues involved.
  • Ask early and ask clearly – let people know what you’re doing, when it’s happening and how they can donate.
  • Get your workplace involved – see if your employer can support you through match funding, sponsorship or sharing your fundraiser internally.
  • Keep everyone updated – a quick thank you message or final update after your challenge helps people see the difference they’ve made.
  • We’re here to help – if you’d like support, ideas or fundraising materials, our team would be happy to help you along the way.

Your donation helps make long-term recovery possible for people affected by domestic abuse across Hertfordshire. Every gift supports trauma-informed counselling, therapeutic programmes and practical help for adults, children and young people when they need it most.

As a small, local charity, your support goes a long way:

  • £10 could help provide resources for a child or young person taking part in a therapeutic session
  • £25 could help fund a counselling session for someone beginning their recovery journey
  • £50 could support group therapy and peer support for survivors rebuilding their confidence
  • £100 could help fund specialist support for a family affected by domestic abuse

Whatever you choose to give, your generosity helps survivors recover, rebuild and rise beyond trauma.
