Our AGM

Our AGM was enormously successful and proved to be a lively and memorable event.

It was wonderful to be able to host the AGM face to face and open our doors at Vale House to showcase some of the work that we do daily, to our community of partners, funders and supporters of Future Living Hertford.

The day began with introductions from Fergus McMullen, our Chairman, followed by speeches from Sandra Conte, our CEO and our guest speaker, Lionel Wallace DL.  Our trustee Julie Marson launched our Children’s Voices campaign and our Patron, the HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire-Robert Voss, CBE, CStJ presented Sandra and the team of Volunteers with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.

We were also delighted to welcome Mark Taylor and his amazing singer and pianist from Simon Balle School who lead the room in a beautiful rendition of ‘This is Me’ from The Greatest Showman, a song that we feel represents the empowered feeling that we hope we can provide our clients with.

In our efforts to remain as paperless as possible and to allow those who could not attend keep informed, all the information relevant to the AGM could be found on our information app, which can be downloaded from the Apple app store or Google Play store by searching FL info.

Once the speeches were over it was time for lunch and we presented our ‘Children’s Voices’ film in our group room for our guests to watch.

Our beautiful Community quilt was on display with some of the quilters in attendance, the jewellery we have made in our Jewellery course was on sale and thanks to lots of willing customers helped raise money which goes directly back into our services.

Outside on the terrace we had members of our Sugar Foot Boxing Academy performing a showcase of their skills.
