Some big news on our Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign

Future Living's Christmas Challenge campaign

About our campaign…

Earlier in the year we announced that this year Future Living  is taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge. The campaign is a great way to make sure that any donations received by our generous donors go even further! The challenge also allows us to secure match funding from Champions through The Big Give. Securing champion funding, essentially doubles the overall amount raised through pledges alone.

There is a dedicated week from 28th November  – 5th December where we are also able to accept online donations from the wider community to further boost the total amount raised. It’s been overwhelming to see the generosity our pledgers have shown towards our campaign, which is aimed at raising funds to enable more of the work we do with children and young people to support them with their mental health.

How are we getting on?

The Challenge works in stages. Following an initial application, the first stage was for us to collect pledges, which reached a total of £2,500.  Following this we were then informed we had successfully been offered Champion funding.

Champions are charities and organisations who work with the Big Give to support successful charity campaigns. The Big Give works to secure a champion for campaigns featured in The Christmas Challenge.

We are delighted that Dormywood Trust very kindly sent us an offer, which we have accepted. This means that the amount we have received in pledges will be matched by them. Dormywood Trust is a relatively new charity who support charities in the following areas: tackling food poverty, violence against women and girls, environmental work and arts-based creative organisations working with young people.

This is the first time we have taken part in the challenge, and we are certainly glad that we did!

The funds raised from the campaign really will make a difference to the children and young people we work with. We offer them a variety of therapies which include, art, drama, Lego and talk therapy.
