Christmas is just around the corner!

Hello everyone!

Christmas feels like it’s becoming real now and not far off. So at Future Living Hertford we are all gearing up with Christmas cards and present wrapping!  Do you feel the Christmas Spirit too?  We’ve dressed our Christmas Tree at our premises in Hertford. As well as this we are having a bit of a get together on Monday next week. Our trustees, teams and volunteers as well as some of our clients will all be coming along. Let us all spare a thought to what Christmas is really about – giving – our time, our love and our money to help charities make lives better for others……..

About our campaign

This year we decided to join the Big Give Christmas Campaign and think about the young people who don’t experience Christmas as such a jolly time.  We decided there was a really great opportunity to raise awareness of mental health in youngsters and ask that the public might wish to give Future Living Hertford a donation towards specialist therapy for these young people.  The Big Give people have been amazing in coaching us along as fundraising in this way is really new to us all and has been a challenge.  However, the team at Future Living has dug deep, as always!   We identified several people, who generously pledged funds which were gratefully doubled by Dormywood Trust.  This raised our first target of £5000.

Now, just for one week from today 28th November to Tuesday 5th December, at midday,  the public can make donations through the Big Give Campaign donation link which is now live!

How to donate

Here is the Donation link:

Thanks to match funding from Dormywood Trust, all donations we receive will automatically be doubled too! So a £10 donation would give us £20. £20 could give free access to a young person for ongoing therapy for 6 weeks. A donation of £50 would be doubled to £100 and enable us to provide a group project for 6 children to access for free.

How your donation can help

Here at Future Living we know how life changing this can be for a young person. Here’s what some of our clients have to say about the support they have received so far from our services:

‘If I am struggling with my mental health, I know there is somewhere to go and someone to speak to.’’

‘’I get to talk about how I am feeling and I am benefitting from getting my feelings out.’’

‘’It helps me to process things in my head by seeing what I’m thinking.’’

Art therapy has helped with my mental health massively. It gets me into school

Please help us at Future Living to help these young people in desperate need with stretched services elsewhere, often with very little understanding or support. Let’s make it a Happy Christmas for all.

Thank you for your support!

Merry Christmas

Sandra Conte, CEO
